This Balkan country was a part of Yugoslavia. Today, the country borders Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is inhabited by a Muslim and Croat population, while Serb Republic has a Serb majority population.

The capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is Sarajevo. This city has often been called the 'Jerusalem of Europe' thanks to it's traditional and famous religious diversity. Because of it's position Bosnia and Herzegovina has been a restless area for centuries. But this heart-shaped country is a place where eastern and western civilization meet and enrich each other.
